Common Eyebrow Problems
Hundreds of people come to us because of existing eyebrow problems. Have your brows been over plucked over the years, perhaps they look too thin or even non-existent, maybe you just don’t like the shape? Many clients are just fed up and tired of pencilling every day and struggle with getting the shape and colour right and worry about rubbing them off! They feel inhibited about going swimming, feel they have to wear their hair with a fringe to “cover up” and generally lose confidence and all because of their eyebrows!
We can promise you that well applied permanent make-up is the very best solution for the “eyebrow problem” that a huge majority of women and a lot of men experience. It is a very straight forward procedure that is also very safe and we perform many enhancements on a daily basis 6 days a week.
Eyebrows really do make a huge difference, they frame the face and make you look younger, draw attention to the eye area and as they add definition they also take attention away from fine lines and wrinkles, Believe it or not they also make the hair on your head look thicker for those ladies with finer heads of hair. Eyebrows are a facial feature along with eye’s, noses and mouths so when they aren’t there the face does look a little strange and definitely older.
Semi-Permanent Eyebrow Treatment - What to Expect
Pharmaceutically graded, hypo-allergenic pigments are carefully implanted into the upper layers of the dermis, adding colour, contrast and definition. It’s like tattooing except it doesn’t penetrate as deeply into the skin and the pigments used are very specific for this type of work. The colour is chosen with your technician to work with your individual, natural skin tone and hair colour. Your eyebrows will last anywhere from between 2-5 years and we recommend that you boost the colour within 18 months of your initial treatment to keep them looking fresh, however If you didn’t do this they would simply fade away with time.
An initial eyebrow enhancement procedure takes around 2 hours and topical anaesthetics are applied to minimise any discomfort.(we do not advise you coming to us during your menstruation or when you are ill as our experience with these factors are shown to make you more sensitive)The shape of the brow is drawn on by your technician or you if you prefer and agreed prior to any work commencing; if you want “hair-stroke brows” this shape is then made up of tiny little hair stokes that look extremely natural simulating eyebrow hair. If you wanted a stronger “block” look then the area is filled in completely.
After the procedure you are given written after care instructions that are simple to follow and you will be booked in for a review if that is the service you have chosen. The eyebrows will take between 7 and 10 days to heal completely however, there is no need to hide away during this period your eyebrows will look fine for normal activity but will look stronger and more solid than when they have fully healed. During the healing period you need to keep them as dry as possible and no swimming, sauna or steam is allowed.
